A Karma lecture
I attended a lecture about Karma. The lecture was given by a Buddhist monk. I felt myself drawing closer to the teachings. I was attracted to the idea of being on a path. Subconsciously, I'm drawn to the security of an ideological regimen. What I want to know is why, and if that desire is connected to my retirement. Could it be that my retirement has opened a space in my being to fill with new efforts, thoughts, and ideas? Before I hurtle forward and throw myself into a new religious community, I'll wait for some of the dust to settle in my retirement life. I believe that the opportunity to become involved will always be there.
