Eatonton, GA

Yesterday had a little drama for me. My generator started leaking fuel into the Walmart parking lot and I decided it was time to replace it. I left the old one sitting in the lot and went off to find a Home Depot. I found a decent replacement at Harbor Freight, returned to the Walmart and found the old one had walked off. I'd have never known how to dispose of it, so I'm glad it had value to someone. I'd tried to repair the fuel cell once already, and the new generator is working out just fine.

I met a fellow at the NAPA parts store, (is there something about 37 year old motorhomes and 30 year old motorcycles that lure me to parts places?), who was a biker. He said he saw the bus and the bike when I pulled in, and just knew it wasn't a damn Harley. Ha! I never hear that! He said Harleys are like all those Cadillacs that are Amercan made junk. Well...we had a good laugh. He rides an older Honda, (Note, this is a PARTS guy, in a NAPA store, with an old greybeard, who rides a Honda.), a Shadow. I think I like this town. I asked about a used bike shop on GA129 and he suggested a place. As much as I like the old Goose, I'm tempted to trade for something lighter weight, and possiblly off-road oriented. We'll see. It would have to be a sweet ride for me to part with the Guzzi.  It's still early today, and I hope to stop at Hard Labor Creek SP for a night. Then I'll head on up towards NC. I'm still waiting to hear about the Campground Host job in the mountains. Keep your fingers crossed.
You know...it's hot here, but it's very woodsy. Somehow that makes a difference.
