9/8/14 ???
I left Eureka Springs for Kansas City Missouri to visit with the Moto-Guzzi motorcycle people I've been doing business with for several years. The path was due North, but the visit was a must-do for me. The family owned Moto-Guzzi dealership was created in the early 70's. There newest location is on a large plot of land where the family runs the repair and restoration facility, parts supply office, and new motorcycle sales. In addition, there are horses and barns, and a couple of quonset huts full of, guess what...motorcylces! Lots of motorcycles. The really facinating machines were the two Moto-Guzzi three wheel trucks. These vintage Guzzi's had single cylinder 350cc motors, yet hauled loads of 3/4 ton. And one even had a dump feature. These were very impressive. I mentioned an older brand, Bridgestone, that I'd recently heard was a real screamer, taking on bikes much larger in size, and off I was led to several specimens. I was impressed. I saw a bike very much like my old Yamaha RD250 twin, as well as my Honda 160. This collection had to have been over 300 motorcycles. What a fun day.
