Little Michigan Park - Pomona Lake

Little Michigan Park. What a great sunset. I am in the small Kansas town of Pomona, camping at the Pomona Dam. The sun sets over the lake. It's such a bright orange. Although few clouds were in the sky at all today, several appeared at the horizon as the golden globe came to the horizon. The clouds turned pink, triggering a hearty sense that we are all God's children. I'd just had a swim. I dried as the sun went down. The wind is a steady 10 knots, and the air is hungry enough to take the moisture from you in minutes. I sat on the beach bench facing West. It's been a good day.
Starting the day with a great breakfast created by a group of wonderfully hospitable co-campers turned friends, and a 10 mile bike ride to the auto parts store, I got my new Onan generator installed. There were a few frustrating moments, and a small fire, but it runs and puts out 110 volts. I'll do some work with the fuel supply system tomorrow, and test the output under a load, but it seems to run quietly and efficiently. I was very pleased being able to do the work myself.
If the testing goes well tomorrow, I could be on the road again. The issue is that the weather is changing, and I'm very happy here. Do I really have to leave? Will Colorado be to cold? Will I have to turn South and head to New Mexico? Is there any hurry? Being happy in a nice spot, and paying the smallest camping fees I've found, there's not much reason to hurry off. I may stay longer. What a great day.
