Nothing very exciting today after lunch. The morning got me all wound up. I spoke to the NM Volunteer Coordinator in Santa Fe who said I was approved to go down to City of Rocks. I spoke to City of Rocks who said I could come down the last week of October. So I was excited and wanted to leave right away. I sat on my hands for awhile and knew that my feelings would pass and that I would be a better decision maker if I just stood still for a bit. The day settled down and I got some good information about City of Rocks SP. Free hookup in exchange for 24 hours per week, or four 6 hour days will be ok. I am hoping to get into Albuquerque on the way down. David and I will have to plan some sort of a hike.
